From the recording The View From Here
I am a lover of sunshine and warmth. I have a harder time on rainy days. I wrote this song as a conscious effort to shift my thinking around rain; to appreciate all of Mother Earth’s gifts and especially that of fresh water. This song is an exploration of the healing and cleansing properties of rain, on the plane of physicality as well as that of the spirit.
Lyrics
I am not afraid, of the darkness in my soul
It frees me from the blinding light of you
I cannot explain, the sweeping fall of pain
That I feel, every time you say you love me, oh
Rain falls, fresh water tears
Feed the earth, take my fears
Wash my spirit, make it shine
Love that flows like a river, nature's wine
Walking down our lane, shining puddles line our way
We were never, meant to have this forever
Watching children play and the blackbirds singing on their way
Flowers blooming, while our love is dying
Rain falls, fresh water tears
Feed the earth, take my fears
Wash my spirit, make it shine
Love that flows like a river, love divine
Mother wash me with your rain
Mother Earth I’m not afraid
Mother bless me with your tears
Mother wash me with your rain
oooooh,oooooh,oooooh,oooooh
